Reach is made and operated by Mechan8, the trading name of a sole trader registered in New Zealand. Our registered details are verifiable against our New Zealand Business Number on the NZBN register.

In these terms, "we", "us", and "Mechan8" mean that entity, and "you" means the person using Reach or this website.

What Reach is, and what it costs.

Reach is a desktop application for Windows and macOS, designed around switches and adaptive controls for people with severe physical disabilities. You install it using the Reach launcher, which also keeps it up to date.

Reach is provided free of charge. Every game available in the Game Vault is included at no extra cost. There are no paid tiers, no in-app purchases, no advertising, and no content that is unlocked by paying. Games install from the Game Vault on demand, and the Vault only lists titles that work with the controller you have selected.

We may add, change, or remove games and features over time, including titles that are currently available.

Voluntary contributions.

You can optionally contribute money towards the cost of developing Reach through our Support Reach page. Contributions are:

• Entirely optional — Reach is fully usable without paying anything.
• One-off payments — not a subscription. Nothing recurring is set up, so there is nothing to cancel.
• Not a purchase — you do not receive any goods, services, features, cosmetics, access, or other benefit in return.
• Not charitable giving — Mechan8 is a commercial software business, not a registered charity. Contributions are not tax-deductible and we do not issue tax receipts.

Contributions are taken in New Zealand dollars (NZD) with a minimum of NZ$5. Payments are processed by Stripe, not by us; by paying, you also accept Stripe's own terms. See our refund policy for how to request a refund.

Acceptable use.

When using Reach or this website, you agree not to:

• Use them for any unlawful purpose, or to breach anyone else's rights.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, accounts, or infrastructure.
• Interfere with or disrupt the service, including its download and update systems.
• Redistribute, resell, or repackage Reach or its bundled content as your own.

Reach and its content remain the property of Mechan8 and its licensors. Some assets and game kits used in Reach are licensed from third parties and are not yours to extract or redistribute.

Availability and support.

We aim to keep Reach and its download and update services available, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may suspend or discontinue any part of Reach at any time. Reach requires a supported computer running Windows or macOS, and an internet connection to install and update games.

Disclaimers and liability.

Reach is provided free of charge and "as is", without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mechan8 is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or loss of data, arising from your use of Reach or this website.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any rights you have that cannot be limited or excluded by law, including under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986.

Changes and governing law.

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Continuing to use Reach after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and the New Zealand courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
